NCSA earns HPC Innovation Excellence Award for crop-forecasting work co-developed by Dr. Peng
NCSA received a 2020 HPC Innovation Excellence Award recognizing the CLM-APSIM crop forecasting model, which Dr. Peng co-developed with Kaiyu Guan and Jian Peng on the Blue Waters supercomputer — combining satellite data, earth system modeling, and machine learning into one of the most reliable long-term corn-yield prediction tools for the U.S. Corn Belt.
