Researchers propose a unified, scalable framework to measure agricultural greenhouse gas emissions
Dr. Peng co-led this framework integrating multiple sensing technologies, satellite imagery, and AI-based ecosystem modeling into a “system of systems” solution for measuring how climate mitigation practices — such as cover cropping and precision fertilizer management — reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the individual field level, generic and scalable enough to apply to agricultural systems in any country.
