AI meets hydrology: new system tracks nitrogen pollution across watersheds
Dr. Peng and Dr. Jie Yang from WACI led a study introducing HydroGraphNet, a knowledge-guided AI model that represents a watershed as a connected network of sub-basins to improve daily predictions of streamflow and nitrogen export, tested in the Upper Sangamon River Basin.
